COVID-19 SECOND LOCKDOWN

We are very much aware that our patients rely on us for their ongoing eyecare and we wish to reassure all our patients that, as always, we will be here to take care of you through this very difficult time.

We are currently awaiting official clarification regarding the status of opticians during this second lockdown phase but the best guidance available at the moment suggests that as an essential service, opticians will be able to continue working normally in the coming months. We are therefore continuing to take all appointment bookings and of course following the same Covid protection protocols that have been in place for many months.

Wherever possible all our practices will remain staffed and open and remain available by phone or email (info@thcollison.co.uk)

There will be some changes to how we offer our services in light of new guidelines, the most important being the need to observe social distancing rules and, for the foreseeable future, we will only be seeing people by appointment.

During this period we would ask you to understand that we will be prioritising those who have concerns for their vision. If you are overdue for your routine eye test and do not have any concerns we will still be able to offer you an appointment but not necessarily straight away.

Thomas H. Collison Ltd takes the health of our patients and staff very seriously and we would ask you to take any necessary precautions to keep yourself safe during your visit. We are implementing new protocols to make sure we are keeping our staff and patients safe and to help us we ask you to:

  • Attend our practices alone wherever possible.

  • If attending with a child you do not allow them to wander around the practice.

  • Make an appointment – this applies for collections and adjustments as well as sight test or contact lens appointments.

  • Wear a face mask to any appointment.

  • Make use of the hand sanitisers available throughout your visit.

  • Do not browse or touch any frames or products without the supervision of our staff.

  • Bring your own BLACK pen and face mask if possible.

  • Use cashless payment methods.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we take the first small steps out of this current situation.
